They ran into each other and were both saddened and glad at the same time.

After exchanging the obligatory ‘Hello.’, ‘How are you?’, ‘Nice to see you.’, ‘What’s new with you?’, they fell into a slightly uncomfortable silence.

“Do you think it was a mistake?” He asked referring to them breaking up.

“No.” She answered referring to them having their brief affair in the first place.
