About the Author

Aleksandra Kundaković Radojičić, Ph.D. is a poet, writer and painter, who recently attained her Ph.D. degree in Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade.

Pieces of Mind is her first collection of poems and short stories which she has been writing since 2010, perfecting since 2017, and continues to enhance and grow every day. Her love of literature started in her first year of bachelor studies at the same faculty where she has finished her bachelor, masters and doctoral studies, and it remains her second greatest love to this day, her husband occupying the first place, naturally.

Aleksandra took up painting a few years back. One summer day she simply picked up some acrylic paints, a couple of canvases and paiting brushes, and never looked back. She says that her paintings represent as much a piece of her as each poem and short story does, and that's why she wished for them to be included in this collection as well. One of her most recent artistic endeavours is digital painting, which has a section of its own as well.

Her hobbies, aside from the ones from which this little internet presentation has emerged, include singing, writing lyrics for pop and rock songs, dancing, playing the piano and acting.

I would like to thank

my mom, Slađana Tomić, who always supported me to keep writing, and not just keep my pieces hidden on my computer or in my notebooks, but to share them with somebody whose opinion I greatly value. Thank you, mom, for believing in me.

That leads me to my mentor, prof. dr. Zoran Paunović, who gave me the encouragement to share my writings with the world. Thank you, sir, for gifting me your kind words of praise when I needed them the most. Without the uplift and motivation that you have given me this collection would still be my little secret.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank my husband, Đurađ Radojičić, without whose code this website would never see the light of day. Thank you, my love, for always being there for me, raising my spirits and spurring me on. I love you.
